December 2, 2014 Gernmany Powerpoint Making

Students were given 30 questions on Teset- Knowledge on Germany.
What they were required to do is as the followings:
1. Sign in to Office 365 with their school account  ________@go.dsdmail.net and their pin number.
2. Click OneDrive and then click "new" to powerpoint
3. Open the blank powerpoint file and name it.
4. Google search UEN Pioneer Library; if you are at home the username is pioneer and the password is discover
5. click "CultureGram", and then "World Edition"; next, "Europe", and then "Germany."
6. Read through the article and find the answers to 14 questions.
7. Make a powerpoint with 15 slides; 14 slides with a fact each and a picture each as well.

We learned the colors and practiced the colors with musical chairs, bingos, pair competition.
rouge = red
gris = gray
blanc= white
noir = black
violet = purple
mauve = purple
brun = brown
marron = brown
bleu = blue
orange = orange
vert = green
jaune = yellow

We colored based on the color codes and did the words search.
We did the quiz at the end and more than 80% of students received 80% accuracy.

Today we learned the numbers in French. We had a new student named Bryant M. We first reviewed the old words and had the students introduce their names to Bryant in French and then we introduced the new words. Students were given about 15 minutes to work on flashcards on these numbers and another 10 minutes to practice these words with individual whiteboards. Later we practiced as a whole class. And then we did the quiz. Since still there are more than 20% students who are lower than 80% so I didn't record the scores.

we practiced until at least 80% of students are able to understand the question and respond to it correctly.
Later for 1st period students we played bingo (loto) game - students asked 9 classmates.
For 7th period they were asked to make 10 sentences and read to their partner and their partner translated to English.

Last time we didn't do quiz but review the words of colors and learn few more words. Today we first students did the quiz and then they color a page with color code in Chinese. After the coloring we used small whiteboards to practice the new words. At the end, we played bingo games.
For those who are absent today, they will need to download the color pages and color them according to their color codes and/or Chinese and return the assignments into the homework box.
